About Rescue the Rescues

Every day, thousands of innocent animals suffer from cruelty, neglect, and starvation. Rescuers throughout the country are doing their best but they are overwhelmed. We’ve seen too many nonprofits close with heartbreaking goodbye messages, not because the need disappeared, but because the funds did. Rescuers have hearts bigger than their wallets, and every time one is forced to shut down or say no to a desperate call, animals suffer.

The daily needs of grain, hay and vet bills aren’t glamorous, but they are lifesaving. This project helps meet those needs.

If you run or volunteer with a rescue, let these songs encourage you, and invite your supporters to purchase an album and choose your rescue to receive the proceeds. If you love animals, you can effortlessly donate $10 to your favorite rescue while receiving beautiful music to play anywhere. We play this playlist in the barn often, especially on days when encouragement and hope are needed most.

I can’t help every animal, but I can help empower the rescuers who can. Please join us by purchasing an album, sharing this page, and spreading the word about this small movement making a big impact for the most vulnerable.

Thank you and God bless. ❤️

About Us

Horses That Help (dba Rescues The Rescues) is a 501c3 nonprofit based in Ocala, Florida. We started very organically back in West Palm Beach, Florida when we were just a “family with horses that helped people” and volunteered with our ponies at our church’s special needs riding program. Because they were the only free program they had a long waiting list and we started helping kids off that list in our free time and it evolved from there!

Over the years we helped thousands of children with special needs and at-risk youth and made some incredible memories along the way. During Covid we had to shut down and used that time to relocate to a larger fixer upper farm in Ocala. We fully expected to restart the children’s programs once the farm was useable but while we were renovating the farm we started taking in horses in need of rescue and again, organically, evolved into an animal rescue.....read more

FAQ

Rescue the Rescues

Believer

He sunk his head into my chest and said “why bother” when I asked him to hold on. His name was Believer and I begged him to believe me when I promised things would get better. That his stomach would never be hungry again and that he would know only loving hands going forward.

This former race horse earned thousands of dollars for his people only to be abused by someone who faced animal cruelty charges and tossed away to starve in a backyard.

After 6 months in rehab with Horses That Help in Florida he was adopted by a Palm Beach couple who have lavished him with the best of everything and treat him like a son. A well deserved Cinderella story for a horse that chose to hang on and overcome!

Tinsel Rescue tory

Tinsel

Tinsel was found as a stray and rescued by Barky Pines Animal Rescue and Sanctuary in Loxahatchee, Florida. This is her story…She had a severe case of demodex mange and was emaciated. Her skin was all infected.

For days and days we hand fed her just to get some nutrition in her. Eventually she began to eat on her own and started to slowly put on weight. With medication, her skin began to heal and her fur started coming in.

After a few months of care and healing , we found an amazing home for her. She is living her best life, happy and so loved!

Snowball

“Snowball” was surrendered to Helping Parrots Bird Rescue in December of 2024 after his owner passed away, he was found in horrible condition as a result of long term neglect. His beak and nails were overgrown to the point that he could barely eat and had trouble moving around.

He was adopted by a wonderful lady who is giving Snowball the life he deserves, full of toys and friends!
